Metallica, Slayer, Napalm Death, Sepultura. Just a few bands that were inspired by the next band we are announcing. The genre of d-beat was named after their legendary drumbeat.
Yes: Discharge is playing Pitfest 2019! The raw sound of this band was revolutionary in the early 80’s and their groundbreaking debut album ‘Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing’ is nothing less than a classic. Not only in the punk scene, but also in metal, crust and hardcore.
Without a doubt, Discharge can be called a legendary band. And we are proud to have them on Pitfest!
Regular Tickets are up for sale since this morning. Bugs in the ticketshop have been solved too!
Their album “In A Pitch Black Grave” was rated among the best deathmetal albums of 2017. This band was not created to play live shows. They just wanted to produce some true and brutal oldschool deathmetal.
BUT: if you put members and ex-members of bands like Grave, Asphyx, Just Before Dawn, Blood Mortized, Wombbath and Amon Amarth together, it would be a goddamn shame if they didn’t play live shows, wouldn’t it?
We are thrilled to announce them for Pitfest, where they will play an exclusive 2019 NL show: GODS FORSAKEN (SWE)!
Jonny Pettersson - Growls
Gustav Myrin - Lead Guitar
Alwin Bassphyx - Rythm Guitar
Anders Biazzi - Seabas
Pelle Ekegren - Drums
Holy hell... Just a few hours after we announced the Early Birds, they were all gone! Even after we added a batch of 50 extra... So: Thank you! We will start regular presale soon.
You gave us so many positive reactions on our location. So we are very happy to inform you that Pitfest 2019 will take place on Resort Zuiddrenthe again!
Uhgah Wugah added to Pitfest!
Due to illness, Zero Zero Zero sadly had to cancel their performance at Pitfest.
BUT: we managed to find a great replacement: Uhgah Wugah!
This thrashcore trio from Groningen was founded in 2011 and got their inspiration from bands like NoMeansNo and Victims Family. Their first full length was released in 2014. In the meantime they played countless shows, with bands like Jello Biafra, Subhumans and Peter Pan Speedrock.
In 2016, the second album (called "The Lighter Side Of Global Warming") was released.
