The Danish band Artillery may have established themselves at the forefront of the thrash movement in the mid-1980s and they're still a killer band almost 40 years later.

With their aptly titled tenth album, X, they proved once again that they haven't forgotten anything as forges of relentlessly hard and unadulterated stainless steel. "We wanted to maintain our trademarks: typical riffs and hook lines combined with aggression and melody," explains guitarist Michael Stützer. "The band always tries to blend melodic thrash with elements of the heavy bands of the '70s and '80s, although this time we also tried out new things. We hardly need to motivate ourselves when composing because we love what we do."
