Jungle Rot is a death metal band formed in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1992 by Jim Harte and Joe Thomas. After guitarist Dave Matrise joined in 1993, the band refined its sound, releasing the "Skin the Living" demo in 1995 and their debut album "Slaughter the Weak" in 1997. Matrise has been the only constant member, and the band is known for its brutal, thrash-influenced death metal, often featuring lyrical themes of war.
