Martyrdöd (SWE)

Martyrdöd hasn't played a lot of shows the last couple of years. And we are very happy that they return to Pitfest in 2026!

Martyrdöd came into being in 2001 and made their first imprint on the Swedish punk scene with a demo, released a year later. The band didn’t wait around long because in 2003, they released their debut self-titled record. The aggressive and then-usual blend of crust punk and the Scandi-favoured d-beat with black metal caused quite the stir in the European underground. The band rode on the momentum, solidifying their status with more excellent albums, aka In Extremis and Sekt.

With each release, they were becoming an ever more important name of the Nordic punk scene, and today, they are its legends. The band’s latest record is the 2019 Hexhammaren.
