Traversus (NL)
THURSDAY

Local metal band Traversus made it their mission to bridge divides both musically and lyrically.
Extremes are able to coexist. If there is one medium which proves beyond all doubt that this is possible, it would be music. Dutch metal band Traversus understands this, and made it their
mission to bridge divides both musically and lyrically. Their hard rock sound is enhanced with influences from progressive rock and metal, and as such, manages to seamlessly blend the
theoretical with the emotional.
Being from a relatively small town in the east of the Netherlands, with a very limited rock scene to speak of, allowed Traversus to hone their sound over multiple years. The dense riff work by
guitarist Joey Wessels and intricate rhythms by drummer Liam de Groot are more than happy to take a back seat to create space for the sonorous voice of Madelief de Groot whenever the music requires it. This surprisingly accessible combination of styles allows the band to build a close connection with both mainstream rock and adventurous metal audiences.
